IB Programme

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAMME

Students learn through, with and about the arts within an IB Framework at Gobind Sarvar School. IB education is motivated by a mission to create a better and more peaceful world through education. IB promotes intercultural understanding and respect, as an essential part of life in the 21st century. The programs form a coherent sequence of education by promoting the education of the whole person through an emphasis on intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth.

At Gobind Sarvar, we offer PYP (Primary Years Programme). The IB Primary Years Programme, for students aged 3 to 12, focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world.

A distinctive feature of the PYP is the programme of inquiry and the six transdisciplinary themes about global issues that are important and meaningful to us all. Students investigate each one of these six themes in each year of the program. The students develop a deeper and broader understanding of significant issues and concepts as they progress through the PYP. These themes allow students to go beyond the confines of learning within subject areas.

As a school, we accept the IB Programme aim to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

As IB learners we strive to be:
